In the Warner Mountains easy slopes for the beginning skier, moderate slopes for the more experienced skier,
and rugged areas for the most skilled skier are available. The Modoc Ski Club maintains a surface ski lift in the Warner Mountains
on Cedar Pass near Highway 299. The Warner Mountains and Medicine Lake Highlands present opportunities for cross-country skiing
and snowshoeing. A snowmobile route starting at Mammoth Crater in the Medicine Lake Highlands loops around the Lava Flow and
back to Mammoth Crater.

Cedar Pass Snow Park is a community-sponsored project that offers
a warm, small-town atmosphere reminiscent of the early days of skiing. No matter what your preference, Cedar Pass is a "hidden
treasure" that you must experience this winter. The friendly and helpful volunteers, combined with the uniqueness of Cedar
Pass, will make you want to return often.
Nordic skiers are welcome to use the lodge and snow park area
in order to access the Cedar Creek Interpretive Trail and surrounding meadow and backcountry terrain. This trail
is ready for use by Nordic skiers. Blue Diamond markers have been installed
on a portion of the Cedar Creek Interpretive Trail to facilitate “preview” use by the public this winter. The markers begin at the Cedar Pass Snow Park Trailhead and extend for approximately
1.5 miles, ending where the trail intersects Cedar Creek. When the interpretive
trail signing is completed next summer, the entire trail will be marked for winter travel.
Cedar Pass offers a variety of skiing experiences - a bunny hill for beginners and a T-Bar to whisk you
up the mountain where intermediate and advanced skiers will be challenged with newly cleared runs that more than triple the
skiing area.
Within easy access from the Lodge, Nordic fans can glide over set tracks or can experience their own personalized
journey into unmarred terrain. Telemark skiers and snowboarders are welcome at Cedar Pass.
Directions from Cedarville: Travel eight miles west on Highway 299.
Seasonal Information: Normally Open: December through March .
